Hi, I’m Misty, a Kansas City photographer who cares a whole lot about people and the stories they’re living right now!
I love my family, my garden, and just about every dog I meet (but especially our Gwenny). You’ll usually find me with a coffee in hand (sweetened Americano please), browsing a thrift store, or rewatching The Office for the hundredth time. (Hobby wise, I'm definitely in my granny era!)
I’m an introvert at heart, but I really love getting to know people. Real, honest kinds of conversations are my jam. (Please don't make me talk about the weather!) My background is in education and in a former life I was a preschool teacher. 
I grew up, got married, and started my family in small town Missouri before we moved to the DC area in 2009, which is where this business was born! That place will always feel like a second home to me, and I still travel back regularly for sessions. (Thanks to my DMV clients!)
In 2021, we made our way back to the Midwest and landed in Kansas City. It’s been a full-circle kind of season, and I’m really grateful to be building a life and business here again, this time with a whole lot more life experience and perspective!
